Safety
Warranty
Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the Roma for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Aston Martin doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Vantage.
Fuel Economy and Range
On the EPA test cycle the Roma gets better fuel mileage than the Vantage (17 city/22 hwy vs. 15 city/22 hwy).
In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Roma’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Vantage doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.
The Roma has 1.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the Vantage (21.1 vs. 19.3 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
The Roma has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Vantage doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.
Environmental Friendliness
In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Ferrari Roma higher (5 out of 10) than the Aston Martin Vantage (4). This means the Roma produces up to 5.2 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Vantage every 15,000 miles.
Transmission
The Roma offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The Vantage doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.
Suspension and Handling
For better maneuverability, the Roma’s turning circle is 4 feet tighter than the Vantage’s (35.4 feet vs. 39.4 feet).
Passenger Space
The Roma has standard seating for 4 passengers; the Vantage can only carry 2.
Ergonomics
The Roma’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Vantage does not have an oil pressure gauge.
The Roma’s front power windows open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Vantage’s power windows’ switches have to be held the entire time to close them fully.
The Roma’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Vantage has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.
Economic Advantages
According to iSeeCars.com the 2025 Ferrari Roma retains 78.51% of its original value after 5 years, significantly more than the 61.61% resale value of the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage after five years, which can save the Ferrari’s owner up to $22118.7301 in depreciation.
Recommendations
The Ferrari Roma outsold the Aston Martin Vantage by over two to one during 2024.
